So how DO I uninstall the megaupload toolbar plugin, from firefox?

To uninstall Megaupload toolbar you have to do 2 things -

1. Go to Control Panel-> Add/Remove programs and find Megaupload toolbar entry and uninstall it.
2. Open Firefox and go to Tools->Addons and remove the megaupload plugin and restart firefox.

These 2 things will make sure that Megaupload toolbar gets uninstalled from both IE and firefox

thanks alot. In my case, I only remove from firefox add-on so that i can still use megaupload with IE.

I’ve heard that it installs adware, but if you were to only install that on one browser, wouldn’t it be limited to use of that browser, therefore I could use my other browsers without problems?

Actually Megaupload gives you an executable file. They have deliberately kept the limits very low so almost every time it shows that download slots for your country are taken. Than they ask you to download there executable program, click on it and it will automatically install it, just like any windows program. What it does is, it changes all the browser settings (atleast IE and Firefox, I have not checked Opera).

Glad it helped you. I myself was shocked to see how blatantly megaupload is installing there tool bar without pre informing the people!

For my case the megaclick is gone, but my browser is unable to load some pages such as itunes
I suspect the registry is still screw up.
