The nVidia video card has been trouble free and most of the other "on-board" features of this epox 9npa+ultra mb work well. Persistent problems are feedback in recorded audio with the mobo audio system and USB based wifi (Notgear). Wired networking works great with the nForce on-board systems or through pcmcia on my older compaq laptop. I use Gentoo, where I have to configure my own kernel and install any packages myself. It's a very barebones distribution, but the performance is great. Nothing bloating, only what you want installed. The “tweaking” depends on your distro.
