Now Honestly, wordpress is already seo optimized to a very large extent (no wonders pretty much everyone, and ya I mean everyone, in search engine marketing uses it in there personal or professional blogs). Anyway here are few plugins which you may find good to make your word press blog more search engine friendly. Currently I am only using the first Title tag as I am planning to make changes in the themes files and will only install others in the future.

Title tags play a vital role in the sEO of Wordpress Blog like any other website. This plugin (SEO Title Tag) optimizes the title tags of your wordprss pages, including home page, posts, or simply the title tags of all the pages of your wordpress blog to make it more search engine friendly. This plugin will override the the the title of any page with the custome title that will increase the SEO in wordpress. Another good thing with this plugin is that it will also define the title for the error page (404 error pages) in your wrdpress blog.

Google SiteMap Generator And SEO in WordPress :-
This is very useful plugin for increasing SEO in wordpress. It automatically creates XML-sitemap compliant which is supported by major search engines (Google, Yahoo….). Sitemap is generated for all the pages of wordpress blog. And if you edit any page or create any new page , this map is automatically re-generated for the new changes and also informs the Google about this change automatically (using Google-Ping).

KB Robot.txt And SEO in WordPress :-
This plugin controls the activities of search engine by editing your robot.txt file. Because every search engine start crawling the site by asking the robot.txt for special instructions. So search engines will only crawl the pages that are allowed by robot.txt and will not crawl those, which are disallowed. So by editing your robot.txt you can confine the bots to index and crawl only those pages which usefull. This greatly increases the page rank. This plugin gives you an easy to use admin interface to update your robot.txt file in wordpress and hence make the wordpress more search engine friendly.

This plugin keeps the track of the searches made by your visitors. So it helps you to make your blog populated with content which most of the visitors are searching or expecting on it. This will really improve SEO in WordPress blog. This plugin has an admin area which shows the searches made by your visitors in the last day, week, month or older. If the searced contents are already in your blog, then its good, else your visitors are going to some other places to search that material. So update your blog with this info .
