Ok, this is NO ass kissing post (Not that that i can't write, it is just that this is NOT) :). I wanted to write this post from a very long time but since I never had a blog nor much to wrote on, so never wrote it.

Let me give you some brief background of the person in question first - Amit Patel is one of India's prominent SEO specialist and is running his own company, The SEO World. Amit also owns Gii, a popular business directory. Anyway this post is not about what he does or what he owns. This is about How he does.

I know him almost right from the beginning of his career. In the past 2 years he has come a long way from being a directory submitter to well...pretty much everything. We and many others had started almost at same time and now when I look at him, he is so ahead that I can barely see him.

In today's world, he is a perfect case study of how should you build your own business. With RIGHT ATTITUDE. Sometimes you just have to DO the thing instead of sitting and planning for months and months....Guess what, Plans are destined to get failed and planning is useless if you don't implement it. There is NO better way to learn the thing than to throw yourself and start working your ass off. I remember he used to work for 16+ hours a day during the Business building days. He has got successful in very short period of time doing same thing which others are also doing but in a different way.

Since I like to make Lists here are 5 Reason why Amit Patel Rocks
1. Believes Himself - I have never seen more confident person than him. He does everything with conviction. As a business starter, I think you do need total faith in yourself which I think many lacks. When you know more than other, better follow yourself.
2. Quick learner - Learns quickly and admits it.
3. Does thing Fast - Very important point. Sometimes you just have to do the thing instead of waiting and planning and waiting... He is following iterative model of development. Build it, if it doesn't come well, again change it and rebuild it.
4. Believes in Networking - I have always seen him looking to build networking and friends. I can bet, in the long run that had really helped me as compared to those Indians who still believe in "I like to keep my work secret".
5. Enjoying every moment - Most important thing,he is passionate about his work and enjoying every moment about it. I had spent almost 5 hours with him and he kept on talking about SEO and web building all the time.

And last but not the least, an awesome host. Giving so much time and discussing and explaining so much about SEO, web development and ideas which may work to some one else is not an easy thing. Well, but than he is not a typical ordinary guy as well, Right Amit ?
