It seems Flixster has Companion now as far as spamming is concerned(not surprising at all). Shelfari.com and Yarri.com are following Flixster's steps and spamming member's friends mailboxes.
As usual when members join the site, these sites also send invitation mails of joining to all the members of the address book of the member too! I don't know whether the members know this or not, and even if they know, I will appreciate if these sites do not send such invitations as this is nothing other than buying email list and spamming them.
And really, providing options of unsubscribe is so lame! Why should I unsubscribe when I had never subscribed ? 
Also I have got multiple mails which means they don't even keep track of how many mails they have send to one email account. So if 100 of my friends join Shelfari.com or Yarri.com than I will get 100 such mails...Great...
This is some serious time when Yahoo and Google takes action against such so call social networking spamming and putting there mails in Bulk folder. Only than they will understand the proper way of adding members.
