Here's a look at uTorrent 1.7.5. You've heard of those strange things known as torrent files, haven't you? If you haven't should go check them out, but first you will need a program to handle the torrent files, that's where uTorrent comes in. Go download it right now, right here.
There are several different torrent programs. uTorrent does a few things to separate itself from the others. It gives you a list of all your current torrents, sorted by Inactive, Active, Completed, Downloading, or All of them listed together. That's a lot nicer format than some other torrent programs and software.

It also has a feature you don't see in most other torrent software, that you can use to create your own torrents. All you have to do is pick what files you want to add, list your tracker, put some comments on it, and then save it. The other most distinctive feature of uTorrent is the RSS Downloader, with this you can keep up to date on all the latest torrents that are being uploaded, like when that favorite new TV show of your's is uploaded.
One more great feature is the scheduler, you can schedule how much bandwidth you want to use. So if you want to have unlimited bandwidth turned on for the weekends, but off for the weekdays you can do that with uTorrent. Of course, like most other torrent programs you can set how many transfers you want to run at once, as well as how many active files you want at once.

The property statistics on the torrent files are great too in uTorrent. This will show you how long you have been downloading a particular torrent and how much time is remaining before it will finish downloading, as well as the Tracker URL, which files are in the torrent, and a history of how the speed rate of the download. The list goes on like always, but one thing you may want to take note of is that you can see the IP addresses of all the people that are sharing the file with you.
That about wraps up uTorrent. Hopefully you have a large hard drive, if you are going to start downloading torrents you may get addicted quickly.
