This inspiration of writing this article came another well written article which I had read on digitalpoint. Though the article was good but it had lot's of eye candy and a newbie may get impressed with it, any webmaster who has worked on building websites targeting adsense will easily tell you that this article do not cover the important things and has lost its relevance now. Directory submissions are useless and article submission aren't that effective if your just planning to make money using google adsense.
So here is MY UP to DATE article on How to make $0 to $5 in just 30 days using Google Adsense.
Just in case if you are wondering about my knowledge about this subject, No I am not another Joel Comm or Jeremy Schoemaker, Not even close to them. I am just an ordinary guy who in the day work as a software engineer(for sandwich and burger) and in the night work as a webmaster to pay my bills. I do have a website which gets almost 200k hits per month and makes me low $xxxx monthly in revenue. I feels you can learn a lot from a semi successful person who is willing to share his knowledge than from the one who claims he makes $100k per month and doesn't tell you anything. Anyway this all is from my personal experience.
Initial Bootstrap - Before we start to follow our 30 day schedule, lets get few things straight. You will be needing a website and google adsense account. You can always register a domain+ get hosting for around $30/year and even less but the best option to is to choose blogger. Blogger is trusted by google and you can avoid sandbox effect, not to mention you will not have to waste time in building a site and on on site seo optimization. Blogger is well equipped for both. As far as adsense account is concerned, if you have one than fine, if you have not than you need to register it.
DO NOTE that you will anyway need a website to get register to google adsense, so the best thing is to first create a blog, post 12-15 good posts, change the date to spread out over a period of 2 months and than apply. The posts need not be of very high quality as you are only making them to get register to google. They will most likely accept you. Do not forget to read there Adsense TOS as well. You can not put adsense on adult oriented sites neither sites which promote illegal distribution of copyrighted material like movies or ebooks.
For creating the blog, here are 2 more advices.
1. Choose your niche. Tons of content has been written on how to choose your niche as well as people are selling tools from $1.95 to $97 to help you in finding your niche but here is a advice from someone who has gone through all this - Choose something which you like and can write on your own. If you like Mobiles, choose mobiles. If you like travel than choose travel. If you like programming, choose programming and so on. I had went through eye surgery in the past so ofcourse I can write alot on it as compared to say cancer for which I have to refer to google or other articles. Avoid recycling content. Also use something catchy niche. For example Breast Implants, Eye surgery or Hair Transplant will get good traffic because people look for them and want to know more about them rather than some mumbo jumbo disease which no one search for or cares about.
2. Choose a good and easy to remember domain - creating cancer-health-advice.blogspot.com is very 2004 and will not catch it. Instead create a web 2.0 name like ababi.blogspot.com (just an example). You can use this tool to find many such domains. It is always a good idea to hack the blogger templates to create your own custom themes. If you can not do that, than Check this link and search in google and at digitalpoint.
So I have already written so much and we haven't started yet 
This is because I want to make this a perfect practical guide which can be used by every newbie who want to start earning some extra cash through adsense and it is important to take everything into considerations.
Now the Last thing before we really get started, Be determined and persistent. You have to spend lot's of time on your blog to write content and to promote it. Adsense is NOT a get rich quick scheme. So be prepared to work hard. Also You will be needing lot's of all unique fresh content. Make sure You are NOT going to copy a single line from anywhere(I know its difficult but than tell me some easy way of making money?). The best thing is to not to look at any site or google for reference, write on your own, the full article. After all it is your niche, it is your blog and you are the one who is going to earn money.
Promise to yourself that you are going to write 1-2 good article daily which people will find interesting and informative. Put yourself as a visitor and ask yourself, what do you want to know about this niche ? than write about it. After 30 days, make sure you have about 40-50 posts, each of around 400 words.
Here are some tips on how to make posts which you will be following throughout the month.
* Give it a long,catchy and descriptive title. Just like this post has. Try to put some obvious question as title like "How much hair transplant will cost me" or "When should you visit to Australia". Do not put something like "cost of hair transplant" or "Visit Australia"
* Use Picture in every post. People like to see pictures and it make the post lively. Too much monotonous content makes people get bored very easily. Occasionally you can put some good youtube videos as well.
* Use Bold to highlight important content. There is no need to use too much color fonts though.
* Link to references - Whenever you are point to some site or page, it is good to give them links. Your visitors can immediately open that page and this will also increase overall quality of your page.
* Keep every post complete
