It seems Flixster has Companion now as far as spamming is concerned(not surprising at all). Shelfari.com and Yarri.com are following Flixster's steps and spamming member's friends mailboxes.

As usual when members join the site, these sites also send invitation mails of joining to all the members of the address book of the member too! I don't know whether the members know this or not, and even if they know, I will appreciate if these sites do not send such invitations as this is nothing other than buying email list and spamming them.

Though I have continuously said(or pretended!) that I am a PHP and Python developer, I do know a thing or two about Ruby too. I have never programmed in it as never got any real world requirement but anyway with my knowledge I can at least write an article on How to Install Ruby on Windows. :) The next paragraph has been taken from some random blogger who is a ruby programmer!
