I still remember second year of my graduation, I had got a book of javascript from my college library. I was very excited about it but than never bothered to go through it and after that, I have always avoided programming in Javascript. Its a very small scripting language and most likely you will never be asked a javascript question in Job interviews as well but still I feels if you have decided to work on client side user experience than its the best time to start working on it. It will give you amazing power and will also make way to Ajax. So here is my little tutorial on Javascript.
ECMAScript, or by the name it is best known, JavaScript, is one of the most used scripting languages for web development. The JavaScript is the name given by ex-Netscape Communication Corporation, nowadays known as Mozilla Foundation, to its own implementation of ECMAScript.

In one of my previous articles I had talked about What is web 2.0 and where exactly are we heading, Now few weeks back, I came to know about Eric Schimid's definition of web 2.0 and web 3.0. You can get the video of what he said about web 3.0 here on youtube.

Now they seems to be huge with alexa rank of 1400 something and I can bet all the traffic it is getting is from Search engines only. I feels Lyrics007 is an excellent case study to teach someone how to do search engine optimization for the websites which are in overcrowded niche and get them on Top.
While Searching I landed on this page, so lets dissect this page from SEO point of view -

I was reading Guy Kawasaki's blog Post about linkedin and saw him using a poll on that post. The poll was nice looking as it was ajax based, and gave instant results in nice bar graph. The service is powered by majikwidget.com who are providing this feature for free for a limited number of polls.
You will be given 25 free credits when you create an account there and you can use those credits to create various poll widgets. For power users, you may like to buy 500 credits for as little as $25 which I think is well worth of what's in the offering. I am exploring more such poll options for blogs and will surly make a blog post on this

I still remember one of the speeches Bill Gates gave some 4 years back in Bangalore, India about Microsoft's plans and on what technologies they are gong to focus on. Out of those 2-3 technologies which he had mentioned, one of them was XML (I forgot the other two
). I am not an XML developer(I even don't know if there is such term as XML developer exist) but here is my little effort to explain XML for advanced dummies. Of course everyone understand the basic structure of XML so I won't waste my time in telling all that. I am giving you some XML terms and links for them to help you dive into advanced XML.
XML, or the Extensible Markup Language, is used in web development because it is a general purpose markup language; it allows the users to define their own tags. A markup language combines text and extra information about the text.
