Here are 10 Must have firefox plugins for webmasters.
1. iWEBTOOL Webmaster's Toolbar- Access webmaster services and web tools from
iWEBTOOL directly from the web browser.
After installing this extension, an iWEBTOOL button will appear on your status bar. You can retrieve information about websites quickly and easily by clicking the appropriate tool from the status bar. It works with 1.5+ versions of Firefox.
2. RankQuest SEO Toolbar -RankQuest SEO(Search Engine Optimization) Toolbar provides you quick access to more than 30 intuitive SEO tools.
Alexa Rank and Page Rank provided by Alexa and Google respectively ensures the popularity of the site. Once you download and install the SEO Toolbar you are only one or two clicks away from carrying out most of your day to day SEO operations. I have not tested this but people says its good. I would like to hear from the readers about it.
3. lori (Life-of-request info) -'lori' can tell you how long it takes to load a page. Useful for web developers who are working on profiling, optimizing a web site. The plugin will add a status bar at the bottom right corner of Firefox and will display tons of information related to page loading.
This is good tool to compare your loading time of pages with standard websties say yahoo home page.
4. SEOpen: The SEO Firefox Extension - This is one of my favorite plugin among all. SEOpen is an extension used for search engine optimization. It provides many helpful tools at the click of a mouse. Check the site as there are too many to mention here.
5. Web Developer - A super cool addon with tons of feature for live web development of the site. I love the Edit CSS option as I can edit the css of any page live and see the changes immediately. Do check it. Though my skills as a designer are fairly primitive, I often use this tool to edit the css on the fly to see the chance.
6. InformEnter - One of the very first plugins which I started using. It's a great tool if you do lot's of manual data entry like directory submission work or want to enter login/password and simialr repeated info at your fingetip.
InFormEnter adds a small, clickable icon next to every input field in a web form, from where you can select the item to be inserted - no typing required. You can configure it to display your frequently used information such as name, email, address and whatever else you want to be available from the form menu.
7. SearchStatus - Display the Google PageRank, Alexa rank and Compete ranking anywhere in your browser, along with fast keyword density analyser, keyword/nofollow highlighting, backward/related links, Alexa info and other SEO tools.
8. SEO for FireFox - I have no images fro this plugin right now but let it not stop you from installing it. It's a super cool addon from a super seo site SeoBook . The tool has tons of feature options like checking technorati and del.icio.us links, DMOZ listing as well pages in supplemental which otehr tools don't have. So why are you waiting ? go get it
9. Niche Watch Tool - This wonderful SEO extension provides you the technical information required to beat your competitor websites in serps.It gives you backlinks number, indexed pages, keyword occurences on the page, page rank, all in anchor, all in title and all in text rank for both domain and webpage information.
10. It was very hard to choose the last one as it was a tie between 8-10 plugins, eventually LinkChecker Won. This tool tells you the type of links we have on the page like Rss link or FTP links. It also highlights dead links.
Many of these share many similar features but I will highly suggest you to download them, see yourself which one suits you more and only install those plugins. And Please, if you know some good plugin for webmaster than do post it here. Afterall, Nothing is equivalent to knowledge. ![]()
